Will this make my skin oily?
No! In fact, many times the face becomes oily when it is not getting enough oils, so it overproduces oil that end up clogging pores. Every oil used in Dowey Laugh face oils score low on the comedogenic scale which means they are unlikely to clog pores and actually reduce the risk of developing blackheads!
Isn’t Olive Oil just for cooking?
Absolutely not. Olive oil has been used for centuries in skin care and is one of the best all natural moisturizers out there. In addition to it’s moisturizing effects, it is high in antioxidants, antibacterials, and vitamins A, D, E, and K. All of these make it a great base as your daily moisturizer.
Note: We only use 100% organic extra virgin olive oil in our products.
Can I use these if I have acne?
Yes! Many times when the skin is not getting enough natural oils (most of the time because it’s been stripped via facial cleansers and not replenished due to oil-free moisturizers) it creates overactive oil glands which in turn will clog pores and lead to acne. It may sound counterintuitive but using face oils will actually decrease not only oily skin, but also the likelihood of developing acne.
Do these work with sensitive skin?
They do! In fact, many of our customers have sensitive skin which turned them onto our all natural brand. We believe that you shouldn’t put anything on your face that you would not put in your body. After all, skin is the largest organ we have! Our beautiful skin has enough toxins to filter out due to everyday life. Let’s stop putting chemicals on it and give it some all natural TLC!
Are these really all natural?
Absolutely. We only use organic ingredients and essential oils with natural preservatives. We do not test on animals and are 100% vegan friendly.
Note: The coffee infused eye cream contains beeswax and therefore is not considered vegan.
How much do I use?
We recommend starting with 5-10 drops and increasing as needed depending on level of moisture needed.
Notes: Our oils are formulated for sensitive to normal skin, but as with any skin care product please do a patch test first. Consult your doctor before using if pregnant.
